2014 Porsche 911 Targa Spy Shots

The prototype pictures of new 911 Targa are all over the place. Some of the pictures give a much clearer view of the interiors as well. The pictures show a fixed roll bar, which was see in the debut model of 911 Targa in 1967. Some of the shots even give us signs of inspiration taken from 911 Cabriolet. Barring the roof, the vehicle should mostly be same as Carrera S and Carrera.

Honda Civic and Jazz Discontinued from the Indian Markets!

While Honda came out with a great news for the Indian Honda fans with the launch on new Amaze sedan , featuring the first diesel engine producing 100ps power, the company gave a shocking revelation as well.

Honda has decided to discontinue its flagship Civic sedan, as well as Honda Jazz in the Indian markets.

Looking at the sales charts, I’m not too surprised that the company has decided to take Jazz out of the portfolio, but Civic had been fairly well, considering that it’s available only in petrol variant, while most of its competitors including Toyota Altis, Chevy Cruze, VW Jetta, Renault Fluence, and Skoda Laura are actually available in both diesel and petrol variants.

Even if Honda thought that Civic would be unable to match the success of its rivals without a diesel engine, it wouldn’t have harmed the company to continue it in the petrol guise, and launch the diesel versions of Accord and City. Of course, this could be a part of streamlining process of the company, to offer the choice of diesel and petrol variants for all its mid to high end cars.

It’s also disappointing to see that Honda launched the diesel variant in the European markets, but doesn’t want to take the pain of even introducing it to the Indian automotive buffs.

And, personally I’m not too happy to see the Civic getting discontinued in India, and on a personal note, I’m afraid that resale value of my 2010 Civic would drop badly, thanks to Honda!
